Halloween Makeup Tutorial: Blank Slate

To embrace Halloween to the fullest this year, I decided to do 10 days of Halloween makeup. To read about my process, read this post.

  1. Evil Witch
  2. Pumpkin Skeleton
  3. Tiger
  4. Gold Cat
  5. Rainbow Eye
  6. Leopard
  7. 70s
  8. Blank Slate
  9. Fox
  10. Batman

Blank Slate

For some reason I was really intimidated by this look and I should not have been. Since I was doing regular makeup and then filling in the rest with white, it was relatively easy. I would say this is my second easiest look of all.

I love that this concept can be changed and updated to fit each person. There were a few pictures of other artists who had tried this look. Some had a classic glam like the inspiration I put below and others had brighter eye shadow looks. If you wanted to, I think this concept could look nice with a more natural makeup as well.

I rated my blank slate a 7/10. It would have been an 8/10 if I had bought the white contact lenses for my second eye. Updating my lip to be black instead of a neutral brown definitely made a big impact.

Challenge

Treat yourself with the kindness and trust that you treat others. If you are working through a problem, think about how you would handle it if your best friend was telling you about it. Sometimes thinking about a situation as if it was impacting others will help you gain clarity.
