A Guide to My Favorite Desserts in New York City
Creperie
Neighborhood: West Village
Ambiance:
The Creperie is a takeout location only. There are a few seats on the street, but MacDougal street is filled with bars and if you sit there, you will encounter a lot of drunk people. Do not let this dissuade you.
Cuisine: Dessert
I cannot resist a good crepe. I will buy one every single time I walk past, which made MacDougal street very dangerous for me once I discovered Creperie. They have so many different types of crepes, but I always ordered a sweet one, filled with chocolate. Each time I ordered, it was heaven in every bite. Run, don’t walk to get yours.
Overall Rating: 10/10
There is nothing I would change about this Creperie. I wish I found it sooner so I could try more flavors and I will be coming back for more.
Chip City
Neighborhood: West Village
Ambiance:
The ambiance is exactly what you would expect for a cookie shop.
Cuisine: Dessert
People always talk about Insomnia, but how are they sleeping on Chip City? A delicious Insomnia alternative to a big, chunky cookie. This cookie, also like Levain Bakery, is hard to eat in one sitting because it is so rich. They have a lot of interesting flavors and are definitely worth a stop if you find yourself in the West Village.
Overall Rating: 10/10
It would be really hard for me to rate a cookie shop lower than 10/10.
