San Diego: The Beautiful Sunset Without A Crowd

San Diego Sunsets

On so many blogs they will tell you to go to Sunset Cliffs to see the sunset over the Pacific Ocean near San Diego.  To me, it was overcrowded and stressful.  There are plenty of other beaches and locations to watch the sunset.  If you go to a less crowded beach, the experience can be calm and romantic.  I am not sure why other people think being surrounded by random people is romantic.

Torrey Pines State Park

We ventured to Torrey Pines State Natural Reserve for a short hike and gorgeous ocean view.  The hike was relatively easy, with places to stop and sightsee or rest.  The view was unobstructed and a much better spot to watch the sunset than watching at Sunset Cliffs.  It may be the hiker in me speaking, but working for your view, makes the view that much better.  If we were to go back, I’d spend more time exploring Torrey Pines State Park.  It was gorgeous.
